Mindset Counts

1. Services

Mindset Counts provides:

• Online tutoring sessions

• Group-based programmes (such as reading clubs)

• Downloadable digital learning resources

All services are educational and supportive in nature. While we aim to support learning and confidence, specific outcomes cannot be guaranteed. Services do not constitute therapeutic, diagnostic, or medical provision.

2. Online tutoring

• Sessions are booked individually

• There is no obligation to book ongoing sessions

• A parent or carer must be present in the home (or available if needed)

• Sessions are delivered online via Zoom

​

Cancellations and rescheduling

Sessions may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice.

Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are non-refundable, as time and preparation will already have been committed.

Mindset Counts reserves the right to reschedule sessions where necessary.

Mindset Counts reserves the right to pause or end a session if safeguarding, behavioural, or welfare concerns arise.

3. Reading clubs and group programmes

Reading clubs are delivered as structured, multi-week programmes.

• Payment secures a place for the full programme

• Spaces are limited to maintain a small, supportive group environment

​

Attendance

Missed sessions are non-refundable and cannot be transferred.

A short summary of the session may be provided to support continuity and help children stay up to date.

​

Participation

Reading clubs are discussion-based sessions designed to build confidence and enjoyment of reading.

Children are encouraged to participate, but not pressured to contribute beyond what feels comfortable.

Children are expected to behave respectfully and allow others to share their ideas.

Mindset Counts reserves the right to remove a participant if behaviour significantly disrupts the group.

Requirements

Parents are responsible for ensuring:

• The child has access to a copy of the book for each session

• The child joins sessions using a suitable device and stable internet connection

​

Cancellations (programmes)

Cancellations made more than 7 days before the programme start date will receive a full refund.

Cancellations within 7 days of the start date are non-refundable, as places are limited and cannot usually be filled at short notice.

Minimum numbers

If minimum participant numbers are not met, the programme may be rescheduled or cancelled. A full refund will be provided in this case.

4. AI-assisted session summaries

Mindset Counts may use AI-assisted tools to create written summaries of sessions.

• For tutoring, these may be more detailed summaries of what was covered

• For group programmes, summaries are shorter and focused on key discussion points

​

These summaries may be shared with parents to support understanding, transparency, and continuity.

AI tools are used for communication and clarity only. They are not used to assess children or make automated decisions.

No session recordings are made or shared unless explicitly agreed in advance.

5. Shared learning documents and materials

Learning notes and outcomes may be shared with parents via a secure online document.

• Access is limited to the booking parent or carer unless additional access is requested

• Session materials (such as Zoom whiteboards or discussion notes) may also be shared

​

Parents are responsible for maintaining the privacy of shared documents once access is granted.

​

6. Digital products

• Digital downloads are provided immediately or shortly after purchase

• Products are licensed for personal use within a single household

​

Use in schools, classrooms, tutoring businesses, or other group or commercial settings is not included in this licence.

Restrictions

Resale, redistribution, or sharing of digital products is not permitted.

​

Refunds

Due to the nature of digital content, purchases are non-refundable once a download has been accessed or delivered, in accordance with UK consumer law on digital goods.

7. Pricing and payment

All prices are listed in GBP (£) unless otherwise stated.

Payment must be made in full before access to tutoring sessions, programmes, or digital products is provided.

Mindset Counts reserves the right to change pricing at any time.

8. Intellectual property

All materials remain the intellectual property of Mindset Counts unless otherwise stated.

​

9. Liability

Mindset Counts is not responsible for:

• Technical issues outside our control

• Internet or platform outages

• Disruptions caused by unsuitable devices or unstable internet connections

• Outcomes resulting from independent use of resources

​

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mindset Counts’ total liability shall be limited to the amount paid for the service or product in question.

​

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

 

10. Future services and digital access

Mindset Counts may offer access to digital resources, accounts, or app-based services in the future.

Access to such services may be subject to additional terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
