I offer 1:1 tuition in Reading, Maths, and English, tailored to your child’s needs and pace. I teach every session myself — I’m Tania, a Qualified Teacher (QTS) — with a particular specialism in reading comprehension. Sessions focus on helping children understand more deeply, think independently, and feel confident sharing their ideas. This strong foundation supports progress across all subjects. Session Options 1-hour sessions are ideal for focusing on one subject, for example: Maths (arithmetic and reasoning), Reading, or English writing (SPaG and composition). 👉 A 1-hour session is recommended for most children. 1.5-hour sessions are available if you would like to explore an area in more depth or combine subjects in a single session. This is deal for Maths + Reading or English + Reading. Session Structure & Progress Each session begins by reviewing previous work. This helps your child recognise what they’ve done well and gently correct any misunderstandings, ensuring learning is secure and confident. For most children, focusing on one subject per session allows enough time to review, learn, and practice without feeling rushed. If working across more than one subject, it’s important not to try to cover too much at once. When too many areas are included, learning can feel rushed and less secure.
