Building confident readers through discussion and stories
Service Description
A calm, supportive small-group experience designed to help children build confidence, deepen understanding, and enjoy reading. In this 6-week programme, we will explore Amari and the Night Brothers together — discussing the story, sharing ideas, and building confidence through conversation. What happens in each session Each session is led by me (Tania, a qualified teacher) and focuses on thoughtful discussion, prediction, and creative thinking. Children will: • discuss characters and their choices • make predictions about what might happen next • explore vocabulary and author language • share ideas and interpretations • take part in short creative activities inspired by the story A calm, confidence-first approach There are no tests or pressure. Children are encouraged (but not forced) to share their ideas, helping them feel comfortable, capable, and confident as readers.
