About This Reading Club A calm, supportive small-group experience designed to help children build confidence, deepen understanding, and enjoy reading. In this 6-week programme, we will explore Agatha Oddly together — a fast-paced mystery full of clues, questions, and surprising discoveries. What happens in each session Each session is led by me (Tania, a qualified teacher) and focuses on discussion, prediction, and deeper thinking. Children will: ✔ discuss characters and their choices ✔ make predictions and solve clues ✔ explore vocabulary and meaning ✔ share ideas and interpretations ✔ take part in short creative activities inspired by the story A calm, confidence-first approach There are no tests or pressure. Children are encouraged (but not forced) to share their ideas, helping them feel comfortable, capable, and confident as readers. Why this book works so well Agatha Oddly is ideal for developing inference and prediction skills, as children follow clues, ask questions, and think carefully about what might happen next.
