How It Works
1. Choose a Book Pack
Pick a chapter book your child will enjoy (and make sure you have a copy at home). Each pack is designed around one book so children stay engaged and motivated.
2. Download Your Resources
You instantly receive:
-
all three booklets (Questions, Activities, Hybrid)
-
the glossary
-
the Parent Guide
-
the full Answer Booklet
Everything is ready to use straight away. You can print the booklets, and view the parent guide, answers and glossary on a device if you prefer.
3. Get to know the booklets and decide which one
Look through the three booklet styles with your child, or choose the one you feel suits them best. You can switch any time - some days children prefer structure, other days creativity.
4. Your Child Reads (Independently or With You)
There are many ways to use the packs these are the most common:
Option 1: Independent reading + optional discussion + questions/activities
Your child reads a chapter on their own and completes the booklet page. You can include a chapter discussion if wanted, using the parent book guide to help.
Option 2: Shared reading + discussion + question/activities
You read the chapter together, talk about the story using the prompts in the Parent Book Guide, then complete a booklet page as a team or independently.
Both approaches build confidence, understanding and strong reading habits over time. We encourage you to react to your child's emotions and feelings to judge how much support they may need on any given day.
5. Review, Reflect & Celebrate Progress
The Answer Booklet explains why answers are correct, helping you guide them confidently. We believe it is best for children to be part of the marking process, this is how they learn why they were incorrect and helps them better plan for next time.
Use the parent guide and answer booklet to:
-
check understanding
-
clarify tricky vocabulary
-
celebrate great thinking
-
revisit chapters if needed
Your pack includes everything you need for calm, guided reading at home.
